CA Intermediate Registration and Exam Schedule Updates
According to a recent notification by ICAI, CA Intermediate exams will be held three times a year starting from the May 2024 session, specifically in the months of May/June, September, and January 2025. ICAI has also specified the cut-off dates for CA Intermediate registration for each session. The registration for the CA Intermediate January 2025 session closed on May 1, 2024. Candidates who completed their registration with the Board of Studies by January 1, 2024, are eligible to appear for the upcoming CA Intermediate exam in September 2024.
The CA Intermediate exam for the May 2024 session was the first to be conducted under the new ICAI scheme. Once a candidate completes their CA Intermediate registration, it remains valid for five years under the new scheme. Candidates can register for the CA Intermediate course either through the direct entry route or after clearing the CA Foundation exam. Previously, the CA Intermediate exams for November 2023 were held from November 2-17, 2023.

CA Intermediate Eligibility Criteria 2024

Routes for CA Intermediate Registration 2024
ICAI allows candidates to register for the CA Intermediate course through two routes: the Foundation Route and the Direct Entry Route. Here’s an overview of the differences between these two pathways:
1. Foundation Route
ICAI has divided the Chartered Accountancy course into three levels: CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final. Candidates who qualify for the first level, CA Foundation, can move ahead with CA Intermediate 2024 registration. Such candidates do not need to have any graduation or postgraduation degree.
2. Direct Entry Route
Candidates who have completed their graduation or postgraduation, or are in the final year of their courses, can opt for ICAI direct entry registration for the CA Intermediate course. Through this route, candidates do not need to register for or qualify the CA Foundation exam. They become eligible for the CA Intermediate exam and can proceed further.

Procedure for CA Intermediate Registration 2024
After ensuring that you meet the eligibility requirements, follow these steps to register for the CA Intermediate course:
Registration through CA Inter Route
- Visit the ICAI eServices Portal: Go to eservices.icai.org.
- Select Student Services: Click on the Student Services tab.
- Choose Entry-Level Forms: Select the entry-level forms option.
- Fill out the Details: Carefully fill out all the required details.
- Generate OTP: Click on the “generate OTP” button. Check your registered email and mobile number for your login credentials.
- Login and Proceed: Log in using the provided credentials and proceed with the CA Intermediate registration. Upload the necessary documents and make the payment.
- Download Registration Receipt: After successful registration, download the CA Intermediate 2024 registration receipt for your records.

- Attested copy of the mark sheet of Class 12 or its equivalent Central Government recognized examination pass marks statement.
For Candidates Registering through the Direct Entry Route:
- Attested copy of Graduation/Post Graduation mark sheet or Intermediate level examination of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).

CA Inter Registration Fees
The CA Intermediate course comprises two groups: Group I and Group II. Candidates applying through the CA Foundation route have the option to register for either Group I, Group II, or both. However, candidates registering through the direct entry route must register for both Group I and II.

Validity of CA Intermediate Registration
Under the new scheme, CA Intermediate course registration is valid for five years. Candidates can revalidate their registration for a further period of five years by paying a fee of Rs 400. After the initial registration period, candidates must pay the required re-validation fees as decided by the authorities to maintain their registration.

What After CA Intermediate Registration 2024
Once the CA Intermediate 2024 registration process is complete, candidates are successfully registered with the ICAI BoS (Board of Studies) for the CA Intermediate examination. Candidates must complete the study period of 8 months and can then proceed to fill the application for the May 2024 or November 2024 exams.
CA Intermediate Exam Form 2024
After the registration period ends, ICAI releases the CA Intermediate exam form 2024. Candidates who intend to appear in the exam can fill out the exam form within the prescribed time limit. Following the conclusion of the exam form submission period, ICAI will release the CA Intermediate admit card 2024, which candidates must download and carry to the exam hall.
