What is the CMA Exam?

About ICMAI

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) was established to promote and regulate the Cost and Management Accountancy profession in India. It offers various courses designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge in cost accounting and management.

Courses Offered by ICMAI

ICMAI provides courses at different levels:

• CMA Foundation course
• CMA Intermediate course
• CMA Final course

CMA 2024 Admission Cutoff Date

Registrations for the ICMAI Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses are open throughout the year. However, candidates must apply before a stipulated deadline to register for a specified session. Students willing to appear for the June 2024 term exam should enroll themselves in the course before the cutoff date, which would typically remain January 31, 2024. To appear for the exam in the December 2024 term, the typical cutoff date or last date to enroll in the course will be July 31, 2024. However, the deadlines can be extended due to unforeseen reasons.

Eligibility Criteria (CMA Foundation Exam Dates)

CMA Foundation Registration Process

1. Visit ICMAI Website: Go to the official website of ICMAI – icmai.in. Click on the “Students” tab in the menu bar.
2. Navigate to Admission Section: On the Students page, click on the “Admission” link from the menu bar. This will take you to the admission page.
3. Choose Online Admission: Select the option “Online Admission” on the left side of the admission page.
4. Apply for Foundation Course: On the online application page, click on the “Apply for Foundation Course” link. Ensure that you are applying for the CMA Foundation June 2024 exam.
5. Generate OTP: Enter the required information such as highest qualification, registration type, coaching type, email ID, etc., to generate the OTP for CMA Foundation 2024 registration.
6. Login and Fill Application: Log in using the CMA Foundation login credentials and fill out your CMA Foundation application form for 2024. Enter personal details, address, date of birth, qualification details, etc. Verify the information and proceed to the next step.
7. Upload Required Documents: Upload the necessary documents as per ICMAI specifications. These may include identity proof, age proof, Class 10 mark sheet, and Class 12 mark sheet.
8. Complete Payment Process: Pay the registration fees based on the coaching type (oral or postal) selected. After successful payment, a confirmation receipt will be generated. Keep a copy of the receipt for future reference.

Process After CMA Foundation Registration

1. CMA Foundation Exam Form: After the registration period ends, ICMAI releases the CMA Foundation exam form for the June 2024 session. Candidates interested in appearing for the CMA Foundation December exam must fill out the exam form before the deadline.
2. Exam Preparation: ICMAI is set to conduct the CMA Foundation exam tentatively in the first week of June 2024. Registered candidates can kickstart their preparation using the CMA Foundation study material 2024 provided by ICMAI. 2. Mandatory Requirement: It is mandatory for all candidates to download and carry the admit card on the exam day. Entry into the exam hall without the CMA Foundation admit card is strictly prohibited.

• The institute will declare the results of CMA courses within 60 days of conducting the examination.

• The results will be published only on the official website of ICMAI.

• Candidates can check their CMA results by logging in using their Roll Number/Registration Number and Password.
• Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks for each paper shall be 40% and in aggregate above 50% declared pass and eligible for the next level of CMA.
