What is the CMA Exam?
The CMA examinations are conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), previously known as The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (CMA). ICMAI administers these exams twice a year, in June and December. Established to promote and regulate India’s Cost and Management Accountancy profession, ICMAI offers courses at various levels:
- CMA Foundation Course: This is the entry-level course that introduces students to the fundamentals of cost and management accounting. It covers topics like accounting, economics, business laws, and ethics.
- CMA Intermediate Course: Building on the foundation course, the intermediate level delves deeper into cost and management accounting principles, financial management, and strategic management accounting.
- CMA Final Course: The final course is the highest level of the CMA program, focusing on advanced topics such as corporate financial reporting, strategic performance management, and advanced financial management.
- Examination Sessions: The CMA exams are conducted in two sessions annually, in June and December, providing students with opportunities to progress through the program at their own pace.

CMA Foundation Exam June 2024 Admission Cutoff Date
Registrations for the ICMAI Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses are open throughout the year. However, candidates must apply before a stipulated deadline to register for a specified session.
- June 2024 Term Exam: Students willing to appear for the June 2024 term exam should enrol themselves in the course before the cutoff date, which would typically remain January 31, 2024.
- December 2024 Term Exam: To appear for the exam in the December 2024 term, the typical cutoff date or last date to enrol in the course will be July 31, 2024.

OR Candidates who hold a graduation degree in any discipline other than performing arts are eligible for the intermediate course registration. OR Candidates who have qualified the ICSI Foundation Examination/Inter CA Examination/qualified CAT CMA. |

ICMAI June 2024 Examination Process
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) conducts the CMA exams twice every year, offering three course levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. Candidates need to enroll in a CMA course to be eligible to appear for the exam.
For the CMA June 2024 exams, candidates must secure admission on or before January 31, 2024. Similarly, the cutoff date for admission to appear for the CMA December 2024 exam is set as July 31, 2024. The entire process to appear for CMA exams includes:
- Get CMA Admissions: Candidates need to enroll themselves in the CMA course to be eligible for the exam.
- Fill CMA Exam Form: Once enrolled, candidates must fill out the exam form within the specified deadlines.
- Download CMA Admit Card: Admit cards are released prior to the exam and can be downloaded from the official website.
- Appear for CMA Exam: On the scheduled date, candidates must appear for the exam at the designated exam center.
- Check CMA Exam Results: After the exam, ICMAI announces the results on its official website. Candidates can check their results using their roll number and other required details.
